In honor of God who is my Heavenly Father,

my father Norman Mailer, 

all father's shown here on this page both alive and deceased

and my mother's husband 

who told me as a child that Dean Martin was friends with my father, 

while watching the Jerry Lewis telethon.

My family told me that I was in the "Chicago" family as a child, as if I didn't have a choice.  I didn't.  I told them that I wasn't, and that I was from Minnesota.  I was told that I would understand it someday.  My mother told me - Ross P, my Uncle Italian Catholic godfather - who had married into my family, would fly from Chicago to Vegas a lot during the 70's.  Apparently, the Mafia Organization that he was in sort of ran Las Vegas during that time.  The first time that I saw the movie, Casino, I felt like throwing up & left the room - too close to home.   

My mom explained the situation - as similar to if the Hatfields and McCoys had met and had a baby.
